What To Expect With Your Order
This countertop blog is to help prepare you with what to expect with your order after it has been placed. We will break down everything that will be included for each material type, links to installation guides and videos, and any tips we have learned along the way!
Before installing any of our countertop materials, you will want to fully inspect all countertop pieces. This is preferred to be completed within the first 24 hours of pickup. It is also extremely important to read the installation guides and follow them, as failure to follow could void the warranty.
Special Order Laminate
Pending the size of your total countertop, and number of pieces, your order could come in more than one box. Before you leave your local Menards for pick up, local plant for pick up, or if you have your countertop delivered, you will want to make sure all pieces are counted for.
Along with your countertop piece(s), the following installation items will be included:

Build-Up Strips These will be installed on top of the cabinets your countertop will go on. THe build-up strips are used to secure your countertop down to keep it in place. They are critical, as they provide proper height location for installing your countertop, and without could cause the cabinets to not function below.

These can be used to level your countertop due to uneven floors or cabinets.
1-1/4" Screws
These screws will be used to secure your countertop to the build-up strips.
Color Match Caulk
This is used to seal any areas where loose backsplash meets the countertop or where the countertop meets the wall.
If your countertop layout features a seam or a dishwasher in the design, the following will be included in your installation kit.
Color Match Seam Fill
This will only be included if your order has a countertop seam in it. This can be found if there is a corner, or where two pieces need to butt up together.
Fasteners & Glue
This will only be included if your order has a countertop seam in it. Based on your selection of faster type, it will include Dual Action Fasteners with and Allen wrench or Miter Bolts and Biscuits.
